Our story
How did it start?
Our story started 5 years ago. We (Achilles and Jack) met at Ghent University. It quickly became clear that we have a lot in common. We both love exploring the world and pub nights, but above all, we share a love for the planet and dogs, especially our faithful companions Otis and Choco.
Combining passions
We have found a way to combine these two passions. We all try to eat more consciously and ecologically. But what about the food we serve our dogs? We decided to come up with an answer to this question ourselves.

Our chunks are produced on Belgian soil, more specifically in Ghent. With Gutsy we really want to make a difference and thus support the local economy. 85% of all our ingredients come from a radius of 160 km around the place where we produce our chunks.
Approved by picky eaters
Many dogs are picky, but thanks to our unique ingredients such as insects, chicken and sweet potatoes, which are also 100% natural, we score hugely with fussy eaters.
Local & premium ingredients
More than 90% of our ingredients are sourced locally, so we can offer your dog the best possible quality. Together we can support our local heroes and make a real impact.
Planet friendly
Gutsy uses insects as an excellent source of protein. The ecological footprint of insects is 30 times smaller per kg than that of beef. This means that by serving Gutsy, you and your dog have the opportunity to reduce your own carbon footprint as well.
100% recyclable
Our packaging is made of monoplastic, which means that all bags are 100% recyclable. So make sure you sort them after use!

Thanks to our collaboration with recognized experts, we are able to serve fantastic chunks that taste great and are easy to digest.
